Με αφορμή τη συμπλήρωση 100 χρόνων από τη γέννηση της Μαρίας Κάλλας, η Εθνική Λυρική Σκηνή παρουσιάζει το ντοκιμαντέρ του Βασίλη Λούρα «Μαίρη, Μαριάννα, Μαρία: Τα άγνωστα ελληνικά χρόνια της Κάλλας», μια κινηματογραφική παραγωγή που φωτίζει άγνωστες πτυχές από τη ζωή της σπουδαίας Ελληνίδας σοπράνο, τα χρόνια που έζησε και δραστηριοποιήθηκε στην Αθήνα, καθώς και τη βαθιά σχέση της με την Ελλάδα.
Η ταινία, μέσα από σπάνιο αρχειακό υλικό, μοναδικά ντοκουμέντα και ανέκδοτες ηχογραφήσεις, αναδεικνύει μια λιγότερο γνωστή πλευρά της ζωής και της πορείας της Μαρίας Κάλλας, παρουσιάζοντας την ιστορία μιας από τις σημαντικότερες προσωπικότητες της παγκόσμιας όπερας μέσα από μια ξεχωριστή κινηματογραφική ματιά.
Τις εναέριες λήψεις και την αεροκινηματογράφηση του ντοκιμαντέρ ανέλαβε ο Χρήστος Γιατράκος, Drone Operator και Aerial Cinematographer, προσθέτοντας κινηματογραφικά εναέρια πλάνα που ενισχύουν την οπτική αφήγηση και αναδεικνύουν τον χώρο, την ατμόσφαιρα και τα τοπία που συνδέονται με την ιστορία της Μαρίας Κάλλας και την Ελλάδα.
Μέσα από επαγγελματική κινηματογράφηση με drone, aerial cinematography και εναέρια βιντεοσκόπηση, δημιουργήθηκαν υψηλής αισθητικής αερολήψεις που ενσωματώθηκαν στη συνολική κινηματογραφική αφήγηση του ντοκιμαντέρ.
Η συμμετοχή μου στην παραγωγή αποτελεί μια ιδιαίτερη συνεργασία στον χώρο της κινηματογραφικής παραγωγής, της εναέριας κινηματογράφησης και της παραγωγής ντοκιμαντέρ, συνδυάζοντας την τεχνογνωσία στον χειρισμό drone με τη δημιουργία κινηματογραφικών aerial shots για τηλεοπτικές και κινηματογραφικές παραγωγές.

“Mary, Marianna, Maria: Callas’ Unknown Greek Years”
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Maria Callas, the Greek National Opera presents Vasilis Louras’ documentary “Mary, Marianna, Maria: Callas’ Unknown Greek Years”, a cinematic production that explores lesser-known aspects of the life of the legendary Greek-American soprano, focusing on her years in Athens and her deep connection with Greece.
Through rare archival footage, previously unseen documents, and unreleased recordings, the documentary sheds light on a lesser-known chapter of Maria Callas’ life and career, offering a unique insight into one of the most influential figures in the history of opera.
The aerial cinematography and drone filming for the documentary were undertaken by Chris Giatrakos, Drone Operator and Aerial Cinematographer, providing cinematic aerial footage that enhances the visual storytelling and highlights the locations, landscapes, and atmosphere connected to Maria Callas and her relationship with Greece.
Through professional drone cinematography, aerial filming, and aerial videography, high-quality cinematic drone shots were created and integrated into the documentary’s visual narrative, contributing to the overall cinematic aesthetic of the production.
My participation in this documentary represents an important collaboration in the fields of film production, documentary filmmaking, drone cinematography, and aerial filming, combining professional drone operation with cinematic aerial imagery for film, television, documentary, tourism, and commercial productions.
